Changing text case using Word (upper case to lower case)

September 26th, 2005 danielchoe Comments off

A client recently gave me text all formatted in uppercase letters. You can convert the text easily in Word by selecting the text, selecting ‘format’ in the menu and selecting ‘change text’. I chose ’sentence case’ and it worked perfectly (capitalizes the first letter of every sentence.

Another post that will probably never be referenced. :|

downloading mac newsgroup files on a pc…

September 14th, 2005 danielchoe 1 comment

had an issue today with downloading some mac binaries off of a newsgroup on my windows machine. fixed it by:

- uncompressing the files using stuffit
- joining the files with hjsplit
- uncompressing (again) with stuffit

it looks like just a few posters are choosing to post this way (splitting the files with split&concat).

there’s a readme on the server, under the mac directory, with more info.
