What is Google Public DNS?

Google Public DNS is a free, global Domain Name System (DNS) resolution service, that you can use as an alternative to your current DNS provider.

To try it out:

    * Configure your network settings to use the IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS servers or
* Read our configuration instructions.

If you decide to try Google Public DNS, your client programs will perform all DNS lookups using Google Public DNS.

Why does DNS matter?

The DNS protocol is an important part of the web’s infrastructure, serving as the Internet’s phone book: every time you visit a website, your computer performs a DNS lookup. Complex pages often require multiple DNS lookups before they start loading, so your computer may be performing hundreds of lookups a day.

Why should you try Google Public DNS?

By using Google Public DNS you can:

    * Speed up your browsing experience.
* Improve your security.
* Get the results you expect with absolutely no redirection.

>> FreeXeX released the first public version of XeXLoader:
[QUOTE]
Introducing the first public and fully functional XEX loader for homebrew-capable Xbox 360 platforms!

Feature list:
* Launch media-patched XEXs from any storage device
* Manage the filesystems of all storage devices
* Rip any inserted game to any storage device (ISO Extraction) (Still requires patching with XexTool(info) to remove media check)

Although it should work on all patched kernels, our releases are only tested with freeBOOT using Cygnos, not with XBRebooter. Sorry for the inconvenience.

A special “fuck you” to CarolinaGamer aka Relapse aka Hawk

Installing the LIVE package:
1) Burned CD/DVD using XeXLoader.iso
Use the file browser to copy (using the “X” button) the directory “C0DE9999″ to the 360 HDD at: Hdd1://Content/0000000000000000/

2) Transfer Cable
Use appropriate software to copy the directory “C0DE9999″ to 360 HDD at: Partition3\Content\0000000000000000
Start your patched kernel, and run the game demo listed as “XeXLoader”

Revised for firmware 3.1.2
This works on ANY Windows version eg. XP SP3, Vista 32 and 64bit (Basic/Home/Business/Ultimate) and 7 32 and 64 (Starter/Home/Professional/Ultimate)

My system
Pentium M 715 @ 1.5GHz
1024MB DDR2 4200
Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

What you will need
1. iTunes 9.0.2
2. Firmware 3.1.2
3. blackra1n RC3 (Click Here to Download)
4. Windows XP SP3/Vista 32 or 64/7 32 or 64

1. Before you start your jailbreaking venture, make sure you have an updated version of iTunes. The latest version is 9.0.2, go here to download.

2. Once you have iTunes upgraded or installed (9.0.2) go ahead and sync your iPhone and do a backup to save all your contacts, messages and other data. This however will not save any music or videos, you will need to sync those manually after the upgrade/jailbreak.
note: when you first plug your phone, iTunes will ask you if you want to update, click cancel for now.

3. Use the shift+restore method to select your firmware and restore the phone.

4. After the restore is complete, CANCEL the “setting up as new iphone” step, and CLOSE iTunes.

5. Open up blackra1n, and click “make it ra1n”, your iPhone will automatically boot into DFU mode and the jailbreak should take at least 30-60. It is that simple

6. After the jailbreak is complete, you will NOT see Cydia anywhere on the phone, you will need to download it through the blackra1n app.
For 3G users you will get 3 options; Cydia, Icy/Rock, blacksn0w
For 2G and iPod users you only get two options either Cydia or ICY/Rock
Install ONE at a time and reboot/restart after install.
blacksn0w does not require a reboot, but you are welcomed to do so.

ATTENTION 2G users, to unlock your phone, go to Cydia and search for BOOTNEUTER, there is only one bootneuter in cydia, and that is the one you will need to download and install.
After bootneuter is installed, RESTART the phone. When the phone is done restarting, run boot neuter and use the following settings below.

VERSION : 4.6
Neuter : ON
FAKEBLACK : OFF

UNLOCK : YES

After that is all set, tap the “flash” button on the upper right corner. Be PATIENT and do not interrupt the flashing otherwise you will bricked you phone and have to restore all over.

3G Users, just run the blackra1n app again and install blacksn0w to unlock your phone, thats it.

7.Now you can run iTunes and restore your phone from backup.

Good luck and enjoy your jailbroken 3.1.2 iPhone!

*as a reminder, if you have paid for any kind of jailbreak or unlock, DEMAND A REFUND!*

This is an update of the tiered power supply list originally posted on xtremesystems.org a few years ago. We are continually adding to this list and correcting it when new information is found or comes available. If you think that something about this list is incorrect, or something is missing that should be there, feel free to post that information in this thread. When posting suggestions for changes, it would be very helpful if you could link information supporting what you say, or at least cite the sitewhere you think the information can be found. Of course, personal experience with a power supply can be helpful as well, to some extent, so don’t hesitate to post if you have something to add.

Original Phase III tiered PSU list from: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=108088

As with any guide there may be psu’s that aren’t listed, or you mayhave your own opinions on various units. However you can visit SilentPCReview, PCPer, AnandTech, HardwareSecrets, HardOCP, and jonnyGURU for in-depth psu reviews.

WHICH ONES TO BUY ?

Tier 1 provides the best quality power, great for overclocking and super high-end systems.
Tier 2 offers almost as good power and stability as Tier 1 at comparable wattage levels with lower price/better availability.
Tier T offers the high quality components of Tier 2 with slightly less rail stability due to Topower internals.
Tier3 is ONLY recommended if price difference is present between Tier 3 andTier 2 or due to availability issues with Tier 1/2 PSUs.
Tier 4 is recommended for stock or low power systems if Tier 3’s are more expensive or are not available.
Tier 5 power supplies are NOT RECOMMENDED, but some brands have high/medium quality power supplies in Tiers 2 through 4.
